The second combination of director Prashanth Raj and Golden star Ganesh – after zoom, in ‘Orange’ is having all qualities to reach the level of ‘Apple’ for the production team. ‘Orange’ has good amount of fun, lovely situations that makes the characters in pitiable condition, good action plus two melodious songs – what else you need to watch?

Golden Star Ganesh is ‘Santosh’, he accidentally meets Radha in a train and the precious gold bangle (Kadaga) in the vanity bag of Radha is stolen. Santosh goes in search but by mistake Radha throws the luggage of fast moving train of Santosh.

From here the journey of Santosh starts to Ramapura. Noticing the Kadaga in the hands of Santosh the huge family is immensely happy but at the same time Veerappa (Avinash) is unhappy for his daughter Radha running away from the house.

Director putting the protagonist in a fix in the house doles out various situations that fits in to the commercial format of a film. There is a villain waiting to take revenge, Santosh takes care and retains the prestige of the house. When all are confirmed that Santosh is son in law of the house – Radha comes with a surprise of her lover and parents to her family.

The confusion and fun further mounts up and Santosh even ask Rangayana Raghu to consider him as first son so that his prestige is maintained for some time.

Now Santosh is considered as wrong entry in the house. That is because he was never allowed to explain the fact. Santosh once again the marriage hall saves the prestige of Veerappa and huge family.

Rest is what you have to watch it on silver screen as director Prashanth Raj has worked very strong on the script and narration.

Ganesh has given shades of his ‘Thyagaraja’ in this film. He is good in action and dialogue delivery is his master stroke. Priya Anand looks very good and she is a screen conqueror. Avinash, Padmaja Rao, Rangayana Raghu, Harish Raj, Giri and Sadhu Kokila have given good support.

SS Thaman two songs are lovely. One of the film songs is on life sketch on Golden star Ganesh. Cinematography of Santosh Rai Pathaje is superb.

It is worth watching ‘Orange’!
